Shelby Post 82 Baseball

Welcome to the Shelby Post 82 baseball website.  Shelby Post 82 has maintained a tradition of excellence both on and off the field since the early 1900's.  Through the hard work of both players and coaches Shelby has seen a tremendous number of its student athletes go on to compete at the collegiate level.  Shelby Post 82 considers the American Legion Code of Sportsmanship something to live and play by, not just recited at the beginning of each game.  We welcome all visitors to our "field of dreams" at Shelby High School.  We consider our facility to be among the best in the state.

Shelby had the honor of hosting both the 2008 Southeast Regional and World Series.  Due to the awesome volunteers of almost 300 people Shelby provided an unforgettable experience for record setting crowds.  Over the two week period there was a record of over 98,000 people in total attendance.

Area IV Championships in 1942, '43, '45, '46, '51, '55, '57, '58, '73, '74, 2001

State Runner Up in 1973, '74, 2009

State Champions in 1942, '45, '51, '57, '58, '2001

Regional Runner Up in 1958, 2002, 2008

National Champions in 1945
